Kuakata (Sagar Kannya / Daughter of the Sea) sea beach is a white sandy beach. It is about 18 km long and 3.5km wide. It is one of the rarest places to see the full view of both sunrise and sunset from the same place or the same position. This beach is surrounded by green trees and beside the beach, there are many garden forests, like The Foyej Miyar Coconut Garden, Lembur Chor, Jhau bon, Gangamotir Chor, etc.
Shutki polli is a place at Kuakata where tourists can visit. Fisherman catches many types of fish from the sea. They sell some fresh fish and the rest of the fish is used to make dry. From shutki polli, shutki fish/dry fish is supplied in many places of Bangladesh and also export in many countries.
Red Crab Island is an interesting place on Kuakata beach. You can see a group of red crabs running around and playing hide and seek whenever you see someone.
Gangamati Reserved Forest is an evergreen mangrove forest in Patuakhali. It is located on the eastern end of the beach of Kuakata. Travelers can move for the Gangamati easily by foot or bike along the beach.
Fatra’s chor is a nice tourist place near Kuakata beach. From Kuakata traveler may visit the Fatrar Chor. Fatrar Char now is a part of Sundarban Forest.
Seema Buddha Bihar is a Buddhist Temple located at Misripara village of Latachapli Union Parishad in Patuakhali District.
